Satan's Satyrs - Lucifer Lives! 7"

Here is the latest 7" from Satan's Satyrs. This band released one of my favourite demos from last year, killer metal punk influenced by Black Flag, Electric Wizard and b-grade horror movies! Really looking forward to hearing a full-length.

Volahn / Tukaaria - Split (2011)

New Black Twilight Circle offering between Volahn and Tukaaria. Volahn is great of course and the Tukaaria material is also excellent, probably some of my favourite stuff since the first Arizmenda full-length. Their sound reminds me a bit of Emperor's Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk album, mixed with some other BTC bands like Arizmenda and Volahn. Chaotic and dense as hell but also some great melodies hidden beneath.

Necromongo - Grabaciones desde la Ultratumba

Peruvian hardcore punk. Fucking killer attitude with catchy and fun tunes that is perfect amounts thrashy and raw. Check this one out.

Bombanfall - Åsiktsfrihet 7''

80s raw crust from Sweden with unique vocals. Obvious Swedish sound but one can also hear Discharge in there as well.

Armoured Angel - Stigmartyr

Classic Australian death/thrash metal. Essential!

Vaaska - Ruido Hasta La Muerte

One of my favourite hardcore/punk records from last year, along with the Kriegshog LP. These Texan dudes play a raw d-beat style of hardcore, with a latino american feel (the lyrics are in Spanish).

Impure Worship - Goathorns

Primitive black metal from Greece that at times brings to mind Beherit.

Lust for Youth/Blessure Grave - Split

Another Lust For Youth split, this time with post-punkers Blessure Grave, who offer up a Misfits cover.

Street Drinkers/Lust for Youth - Split

Street Drinkers is some repititive, minimal experimental/noise. Lust for Youth is similar, but more electronic ambient and synth oriented.

Black Math - Phantom Power

Latest LP. Great stuff.

Black Math - EP

New wave/noise pop that sounds like it came straight from the 80s. Pretty melodies hidden behind a warm wall of fuzz. Give this a try if you like The Jesus and Mary Chain, My Bloody Valentine or Siouxsie and the Banshees.

Tears Run Rings - A Question and an Answer

Sounds exactly like Slowdive, and that ain't a bad thing.

Puerto Rico Flowers - 4 12"

A dude from Clockcleaner playing gloomy synth pop/post-punk.

Negative Plane - Stained Glass Revelations (2011)

New Negative Plane album, hell yes.

Carissa's Wierd - Ugly But Honest

I could probably write an essay on why I love Carissa's Wierd. They are my favourite band ever, and this is one of the greatest albums ever written. I didn't post it earlier because its pretty easy to find and download, but I believe that this masterpiece should be spread to as many people as possible. Nothing even comes close within this genre of music. Hell, nothing comes close within any genre of music. Beautiful, heart-wrenching honesty.

Raven Black Night - Choose the Dark

Adelaide trad-doomers. I've seen this band play a few times and they are totally awesome. For fans of Candlemass, Dio, Manilla Road, Saint Vitus, Trouble, etc.

Reaching Away - Push Away the Moon

Ex-The Pine, and equally as amazing.

Impiety - Worshippers Of The Seventh Tyranny (2011)

Latest album of satanic black thrash from these Singahell maniacs. 1 track, 38 minutes of pure goat worshipping kaos. Bang your fukking head!

Nukketeatteri - Tervetuloa Helvettiin

Been listening to a bit of Finnish punk lately. Heres a nice 7" EP from 1982.

Fister - Bronsonic

This is the sort of sludgey doom the great man himself would be making, if he weren't too busy beating up everyone in the afterlife. In fact, according to the band's Facebook page:

On August 30, 2003 Charles Bronson died of pneumonia and went to Hell. Bronson entered the first level of Hell with a chip on his shoulder. He demanded to speak to the Devil himself about his stay. Upon entering the Devil’s chamber, he pulled out a .44 Magnum and blew his teeth out the back of his skull. He now rules Hell under his new name, Lucifer Bronson. His first assignment as King of Hell was to write the most evil music ever to be heard by human ears. He wrote countless hours of music and hid it in a secret dimension.

In Saint Louis, Missouri, four guys were smoking a combination of marijuana and salvia. They uncovered Bronson’s sheet music and decided to document it for mankind.

This music can only be recorded under the influence of black weed during Bronsonic rituals. The only people on Earth that can understand the workings of Bronson’s sheet music are the Ambassadors of Hell, Fister.

Urban Släke - Så Jävla Svensk / Magnatens Död

Swedish punk (1981). Only 2 tracks but really good. Catchy, feel-good party type stuff.

Nocturnus - The Key

Sci-fi death metal with keyboards. Could it possibly get any cooler than that?! Incredibly underrated and in my opinion an essential death metal release. Just look at that cover too.

Siekiera - Nowa Aleksandria

Polish band who started as fast punk and later changed to a bleak style of post-punk. This is their debut LP from 1986, in the post-punk sound. Recommended.
